kompang gangster

bloody hell! man utd lost to chelsea. they got no form! main bersepah seranah!later gonna meet barca, how to win like that?

anyway, went to tampines east cc to watch sayembara teater and also to support NYP lah of course. great storyline, daripada tangga flat tu boleh dibuat kan seribu satu cerita mengenai hal2 manusia. very interesting. dengar2 NYP dapat naib johan, Khai Sikal dpt pelakon lelaki terbaik! wah congratulations you all!

i heard from my bro, at woodlands cc, got kompang competition. but after that, after the prize presentation, there were fights, mostly just verbal, pointing of fingers, kicking of chairs. heard that they fight of menang-kalah thingy. so far that's all i know. and do you know, that kompang pun macam gangster jugak skarang ni. one kumpulan actually recruit many smaller groups to join the competition. so that the main kumpulan will get its name if they win any 3 placings, cos the other 2 placings, the smaller groups will win it. cos they are under the main kumpulan. and of cos there's another kumpulan who doesn't like the main kumpulan. suspect dorang jealous, gaduh! hahahaha! melayu, melayu...

ok tu je.

Mengambil Basikal Pencuri

during my secondary school days, i remember waking up very early morning not to get ready for school but to get ready to watch great football matches ever, the european champions league, of course it must have Man Utd in that particular match. it was 1999, i watched all Man Utd games from the quarter finals to the finals. thanks to channel 5.

but now, channel 5 don't give free football matches anymore, except boring italian league. so, its Man Utd against Barca. i decided to watch with my bro. so i sleep first and wait for my bro to wake me up. 2.30am, we woke up, and off to kedai kopi at Segar Road. i thought we were the only ones who doesn't have cable tv and had to watch football at kedai kopi, since they got cable and a big tv. but kedai kopi at segar road is not that big. thank God i got new specs.

so before the game, i bought horlicks for my bro and kopi for myself, grab 2 plastic chairs and put it just outside the kedai kopi, in front of the tv about 4 to 5 metres away. there were many audiences already taking up all the tables thats very near to the tv and even at the pavements people already grabbed the plastic chairs and sat on the pavement area which is about 7metres away from the tv.

man utd have absolutely no form that night. barcelona looked quite dangerous but still very cautious so their attacking are merely formed from slow and steady short passes.

anyway, after the game, we went back, while we were walking past the fajar lrt, i saw a very familiar yellow bicycle parked at the bicycle parking area in front of the lrt station. it looked exactly like mine that i lost a few weeks ago. so we decided to check it out. the bicycle was locked with a numbering chain lock that really look like mine too. so my bro try to unlock using the same number of the chain lock that was stolen together with my bike. and it worked! what the hell! the stealer actually stole my bike, and use my lock to lock my bike at fajar road, which i lost it at pending road, about 3 lrt stations away. Alhamdulillah.my bro unlock it, grabbed the chain lock while i climb myself to the bike and ride home, safely with smiles... my bro walked home of course.

that means, i can go night riding again. anyway, to Fai, i'm still on to take your bike home. the bicycle of course, not the phantom.

Don't Steal

when someone steals or took other people's property, how will they feel?

scared for a week or 2. after that they enjoy with the stolen thing. but after that that person may get scared because everyone is looking at him and the stolen thing. he will never feel at ease.

the stealer will have quite a hard life in terms of money. cannot get a good job, can only get low pay job. part time after part time job.

my bicycle has been stolen a month ago. it was my favourite bike given by my cousin. its a really expensive bike of course with Samsonite gears and suspension on the front and on the seat. except the gear changer is not really pro. but the riding part is absolutely wonderful. i don't feel tired that much. anyway its gone now.

to you people who has lost your most precious valuables, and you cried because of its lost, do not worry. God is trying to tell you something actually. thats why He needs to take away our precious valuable to get our attention.

Multi-Tasking Singaporean Worker

i had a one on one meeting with my salesperson, she's the senior so she actually wanted to have a one on one chat with me about work and wanna know problems that im facing at work. basically what i'm facing are works that i've never done before but actually easy to do.

purchasing orders, thats all. but its really very hard actually. and waste quite alot of my time. the calling of my supplier for the orders i would like to purchase is something easy. but when the supplier said, "sorry out of stock," i became numb. oh no what should i do? well i go find another supplier. okay simple. i've learnt that

another problem, i wanted an order urgently, the supplier said, the order will come late. so too bad, i had to call the customer and tell them, "your delivered goods will have to be delivered at a later date. sorry."

another problem. what if the order i've purchased, has arrived, but then i realised i'm short of 1 or 2 piece. had to purchase again. but i had to purchase 1 or 2 piece. and that's not nice. so what should i do? had to call them and order another piece or 2. but had to tell them no need to deliver. will ask my delivery girl to get it. problem is, my delivery girl is my boss. "Aiyo! i'm at Ang Mo Kio and now you want me to go back to alexandra road ah?! AYE jam you know! Taufiq, cannot like that lah!"

i really don't like talking to people on the phone. in fact i remember writing a post about my NS job, picking calls. and hate that too. its because i don't know what that person is feeling, if that person sounds like shit, i will get 'scared'.

yeah.... so to conclude, i had to learn purchase orders because we don't have an admin to do those simple tasks. in fact in my office, i have to know all tasks, not just designing, since i'm a designer. all admin tasks i must know and must do.

i believe most workers in Singapore have the same problem as mine, had to do multi-tasking. what to do...

uncle taufiq

oh yeah, forgot to tell you all, when i was at the JC selling their PE shirts, i was surprised of what they call me...
"Uncle! can change size?"
"Uncle, how much is the shirt?"
"Uncle, do you have size M?"

thanks eh.

so far your neighbourhood's food stalls ada naik harga? so far mine haven't heard yet lah. maybe one day i'll go check it out for the kopi price. if they up 10 cents, then i dunno what to say. from 70cents last time to 90cents when 7percent GST took effect. now, after the US economy down, oil prices go up, even kopi must charge high? better not sia. or else.

they said food prices go up because of oil prices go up. the transport transporting goods to shops had to pay more for diesel, so the goods had to be charge higher.

i went jalan-jalan at toa payoh central after work yesterday. thought of searching for more malay food stalls.

everything's gone. well yeah, got one kopitiam having 2 muslim stalls, the normal indian stall and the normal nasi padang stall. the rest non-halal foods. and that kopitiam, used to be one of the famous kedai kopi cos all the food stalls there used to be halal. masuk Suria Segar tau kedai kopi tu. as usual i went to eat there before, but the food's not nice at all. heran eh macam mana boleh masuk tv padahal tak sedap. but now its all gone. kesian.

i guess i'll just have to stick with fork n spoon then.

junior college uniforms

i had to go to a junior college at around hougang area to sell PE shirts with my other worker. basically their PE shirts were ordered from us and so we did for them and gave it to all of them already. but because we had quite a number of extra shirts, we went to sell and allow the students to change sizes too.

i realised teachers in JCs are young, quite a number of them actually. my sis said that most of them finished their honours in university, thats why they can teach in JCs.

then i saw this student, a girl, wearing different from other girls. her skirt was so long it almost looks like a dress. JC student you know, these girls should have matured by now and know how to wear properly. and the school allows it some more. oklah maybe she got a some kind of mental problem or what, or maybe their parents got mental problem. or maybe they all very religious kinda people. don't wanna let their daughter to show her legs to other students and teachers. budak melayu ah dia.

then quite a few of them wear skirts too short. this one also problem. cannot like that lah, not nice lah. tak manis dipandang lah kalau orang melayu cakap. some more male teachers are all very young, they may get distracted when teaching.

oh yeah another thing about their uniforms, they tuck in the shirts. but its so gelebeh. macam tak cukup tuck in gitu. most of them like that! when i'm in secondary school last time, we all tuck in very tight tight one. for the guys look like macam kurus ad macho gitu kan cos i also tuck in tight2 one last time. but the girls, a little bit too much ah, cos when they tuck in real tight, looking at it is just too much to bear. biasa ah, shuqun sec!
but these jc students, don't know why they tuck in very light and quite ugly and kental ah.

Which is Better? Savings or Insurance?

starhub called me yesterday, a malay guy, he was telling me that i got an outstanding bill $140.10 if i'm not wrong. must pay by 17 april. so i asked, what's the mininum that i need to pay. and he paused for a while... and said $70.

i purchased a new handphone on january this year. had to pay only $168 for it plus 2 year contract. but what i got after that is, high bills! after purchasing a handphone with cheap price, bills got higher every month. very clever.

to plan ahead, money must involve. either by saving the money or paying the money to insurance.
which is better, savings or insurance?
imagine you save 10K after let say, 8 years, and suddenly u get sick and had to go hospital. 10K had to be used for your medical and hospital bills. that's it, savings all gone.
imagine you pay about $30 a month to your insurance for 8 years already, suddenly you were admitted to hospital and 10K had to be used for the medical and hospital bills. the insurance pay for you either all or at least 70-80% of the bills.

so how, which is better, savings or insurance?

well i'm still thinking, heheeh!

overweight

wanna go out late at night with friends who have their own bike is quite hard actually, unless they wanna go around the town area where night rider bus and night owl bus are available for me to go home. but what if they wanna go out to bt timah or simpang bedok, that'll be very hard for me cos, there's no bus to go back furthermore taxi is a no no with its price so high at late nights.
and i'm overweight. and that's very sad.

Summer Olympics 2008 - Hmm...

the olympic torch is a very powerful icon indeed. and i see those runners running with the torch but had to cancel halfway due to some disturbances from the audiences, is very pitiful. if i were a chinese china, i will feel very sad.

but too bad for them. this is karma. you do bad things before, and now when you wanna show to the world how great you are, people spit on you even though those bad things you did were a very long time ago. problem is, you still do bad things. and the media show it to the world. and the hatred towards you rocketed so high, they even dared to climb a very high bridge just to tell you to stop doing bad things.

and also your people come to singapore to get jobs and that is going to be a problem. the malaysians, banglas, filipinos and the thais, they are all ok. but you people, you cannot talk simple english and you are a very dirty person. and we singaporeans cannot tolerate dirty people like you. but never mind. we singaporeans are very nice people. we will still let you work here. because somehow we need to fill in 'bad and boring' jobs that many singaporeans do not want to work in. only you all don't mind to take it. but please lah, go and learn simple english. other foreigners can speak very simple english but you people know nuts! alamak bingit lah!

i tell you, my opinion about this year's olympics, it may not be a good one. the sporting events will still be good but outside the stadium? well, i have a bad feeling about this. of course the media will not show the flaws.

stress ke tak stress

the stress at work somehow affects my health. i know i can handle the stress but i also know that i'm trying to fight myself to be better, sharper, and because of that, i have a once in awhile loss of blood in my brain, something like that.

when the attack strikes, my head is in pain, feels like semut-semut plus pain, then the whole body feels semut-semut. funny thing is while having the pain, my mind plays back memories of 1 to 2 months ago. i don't know why my mind plays back. it just happens while i'm in pain. then, it will subside after about 10 to 15 seconds. seriously its scaring me. about once or twice a day it will attack.
