A Cycle of Pain.

we had a family outing to Sentosa yesterday but me and my brother went out earlier. we decided to cycle to Sentosa.

we started at 0430hrs and got 2 bottles of 100Plus at 7-Eleven. the route from bukit panjang to Sentosa: we have to travel to bukit batok road where we'll meet jurong town hall road. and there we'll move on to teban gardens so that we can go to west coast highway and continue our journey to pasir panjang road and finally we reached Harbourfront. actually along the bukit batok road, we were stopped by a police car. they said that we looked suspicious with our big bags, cycling in the early morning hours, that's why they had to check on us.

at Sentosa, there were alot of foreign workers mostly Banglas. the worst part where many of them went to Palawan beach and they were too eager to cross the bridge that links to the southern most point island that the bridge were almost full of people! but then the rain came. good thing we had our canvas tied on the trees to make it as a shelter.

time to go back. we used different route: from pasir panjang road, we went through alexandra road, past by queensway shopping centre. we moved on, following the mrt line from Commonwealth MRT to Buona Vista MRT and make a turn to Holland road. then we continue on passing by Ngee Ann Poly, we make a turn there to bukit timah road and just cycle all the way to bukit panjang road. but what a pain in the ass for me when my bicycles's left pedal became loose because the bolt were loose too. so every few hundred metres of cycling, i had to stop and screw the bolt in back using my fingers because i didn't bring the driver. then my back brake became loose for a while followed by my front brake, slowing me down even further.

also we were too tired to cycle, that when there's a uphill we walked and when there's a downhill, then we cycle. it was the most tiring cycling outing ever, 3 hours of cycling from bt panjang to sentosa and another 3 hours back home.

Stopped by the police cars?.. whoa.. maybe you should put on helmet.. you'll look a lot less suspicious. but with big bags, they might think you're illegal immigrants.. haha.. just playin..

cycling is a very good form of exercise. it helps to tone the legs and gluteals. but remember to adjust your seats when you cycle long distances. i doubt you want to hurt somebody.

I used to cycle from home to upper pierce reservoir. it gives a cranky sound when i pedal. little did i realise the bolt was coming loose. good thing the pedal drop off when i got home.

it's good to carry necessary tools like a small wrench or allen keys. i always carry my allen keys in a small pouch when i go skating at east coast park.
