Bayangkan Kalau Wak Terus Merepek...

Bayangkan kalau lah Hang Nadim tak dibunuh Raja Singapura...

Bayangkan kalau empayar Majapahit takluki Singapura...

(Indonesia, formally known as Dutch East Indies, was the first Asian team to participate in the FIFA World Cup when they qualified to the 1938 tournament.)

ok... tu aje.

Waters of Death

as u know, there's been quite a number of deaths happening around the water regions, either the sea, the longkang river and even a water calm reservoir. even my mum dreamt of me and her brother walking near a half deep water longkang and ended up her brother fell into it. also I'm sure you know about the waves that got larger and heavier in Sumatra. they said its due to the monsoon. just wanna remind all of you, especially those who wanna go swimming in the sea or just dipping near the edges of the Siloso Beach, be careful ok. and if you think you got too much sins hanging on your shoulders, you might wanna rethink or reconsider of going into the sea... ehehehe!

My Grandmother is Better Than Evanescence

Picture: from left, mother and grandmother

my grandmother is a very sensitive-emo-angry woman. me and my grandmother were watching a malay drama called 'Janji Diana' when there's this part where the young girl had an affair with an old married rich man. they were both talking about getting married, then i couldn't remember what i was saying but i was criticising something about that young bitch (even though she's hot) when suddenly my grandmother said, "Dia tu memang SUNDAL!" Wow... that was good.

my mother do not like to watch dramas with my grandmother because my grandmother can get into the drama too much. and if the drama showcase hatred and jealousy, she will become angry. i was watching 'Hikmah' with her one time, when she shouted at me, "Eh Topek! Kau dah sembahyang belum? Pergi sembahyang!!!!!!!! Kau nak tunggu Subuh ke apa?" That time, Ana, the main girl in 'Hikmah' was being scolded badly for something she didn't do. Bodoh punya Ana!

but i think if my grandmother were to be as young as me, she could join in a heavy metal band. cos not just she's emo, when she's angry, she would shout and her words were as sharp as a samurai sword. her scolding, i can tell you is fast pace, simple yet sharp freaking words and high pitch. if you listen to Wait and Bleed by Slipknot, in the verse, "I wipe it off on tile, the light is brighter this time, Everything is 3D blasphemy, My eyes are red and gold..." where the singer went fast pace, almost like rapping, with gore sounds and backed up with heavy drummings and metal guitars. She sounded something like that.

She could have been better than Evanescence man...

Is the Mer-rion Very Near?

after more than a week, i finally get to blog because there was a problem with the proxy settings. apparently, those who have problems like mine were Singnet users. Wanna know more just visit my journal in my multiply.

anyway i felt like a "moving information counter" today. i was at VivoCity with my friend just hanging out when 3 people of different nationalities came to me asking about how to get to a place they wanted to go.

one was a Japanese, asking how much to take a 'car' (which actually means taxi) to go to Changi Airport and is $20 enough for the ride. so i said its more than enough but taking the MRT is cheaper. He said that he knew about the Subway can bring them to the airport at a cheaper price. he also asked whether the "mer-rion" that he described as "the water fall down from the mouth" is nearby and a good place to take pictures. so i said that its very near from VivoCity.

then after my lunch i went out of Harbourfront and this guy which sounded weird, i couldn't guess his accent but most probably he's a non-English speaking European asking how to go to Sentosa. i told him to go to VivoCity and take the monorail. he didn't know what is a monorail. i said its a small train. then he asked is it the Subway and i said no, its a train in VivoCity. he asked where is it and i said its at the 5th floor. he said what floor, cos he didn't understand what is floor. so i said its at the 5th level. the problem is i didn't know if its at the 5th level, i just guess. heheh.

the third one was an Indonesian, he said where's the bus stop to go to Jurong. at first i showed him to take at the Bus interchange across the road but my friend corrected me and said its not across the road. then i remembered there's a bus stop just in front of VivoCity so i pointed him at the bus stop. after he walked away about 50 metres from where i was sitting, he turned and looked at me while pointing to the bus stop that i pointed to him just now. then he asked another man at the junction and the man showed him the same bus stop that i pointed.

Taka On Fire

yesterday, for the first time in my life, finally i went to Seoul Garden, with my NYP-MIT diploma holders friends (See picture). i wanna talk about Seoul Garden, it was at Takashimaya. the greatest thing about the garden was the marinated chickens. they taste really really good after being grilled. but the problem is the tables. they should have round tables. i know it takes up space lah but round tables are better because we were on 3 square tables sharing 8 people and its quite difficult to communicate with the one another. if round table, you can see everyone.

and then something bad happened. the fire alarm sounded, probably due to the gas or fire from Seoul Garden, but of cos there was no fire except below the grills. so the Seoul Garden personnels switched off many of the gas from some of the tables near the alarm including my table. and we had to wait around 20-25 minutes then they can turn it on back. eh... "turn it on back" or "turn it back on"?
That's bad, OK!

ah yes, the cost... haiz... how to say eh... mmmm, cheaper than Pizza Hut and Swensen's lah. but i think going to Seoul Garden with not more than 4 friends is better.
