I Want You - a poem by taufiq

I feel no wind
and warmth surrounds me.
I touch my heart
and pain caress me.
I grab my mind
and memories play;
in my eyes i see,
im my ears i listen,
and on my skin i feel... thee

fulamak... how? now that's hardcore poem man, made by me. hehehe
Wow, my english thesaurus really is useful. must get the malay language version, if its available. for some who don't know, 'thee' means 'you'.

do you know the difference between malay love songs and english love songs? i can feel more when listening to malay love songs, because i can understand better what the song is about.

whats the similarities between the latest nokia phones and sony ericsson phones? they are both expensive. bloody hell.

whats the similarities between Mat Rep and Abang2 Lobang? they suck.

syakilla, tiara, julia, isabella, rashidah, fiona, camelia... hehehe at the end of these names, they sound the same! they had the 'A' sound! and these names came from malay songs. interesting.

oklah, i'll stop my crap here for now.

What The... A Cake?!

i was surprised to see a birthday cake on the table. after we ate Gado-Gado at Kampong Glam Cafe, Izad asked me to follow him to the toilet. i didn't want at first because i was lazy, but in the end i followed cos i need to breath since i had been seating there for quite a while. after that he wanted to go to 7-eleven so i followed. when i came back, i saw a cake with one lighted candle. i was so surprised, didn't expect it. now i know why he asked me to go toilet with him. bloody hell.

anyway thanks to Naz, Ed, Izad, Lina and Sallyfah and her BF for joining me in the cutting of the cake. thanks for buying me a cake though! that was the best man.

oh yeah, the Gado-Gado at Kampong Glam Cafe is superb. a must try. and its only $2.50

before that i went to watch 'Take The Lead' at Lido. Wah, its been a long long time man! the last time i went there was during my secondary school days! anyway about the story, the dance was awesome! no not the hip hop dance. the ballroom dancing rocks man! it had this romantic and beautiful feeling when i see them dance so smooth. the best was the short dance by the small girl and the Monster. its like Beauty and the Beast. Wow...

oh yeah, the people of Bukit Panjang will have to vote. its one on one. i don't know who's the challenger. the opposition guy like very quiet like that lah...

DK Gerek!

club crawl 2006, best cos i play as awok-awok in dikir barat. during the secondary school days was the last time i played. i was really crazy about dikir barat at that time. i memorized some of the best songs in mega perdana 1997, i bought dikir temasek 2 in a form of cassette at geylang serai, even had a dikir team in jurong town CC but gone down the drain due to the egoistic of the young malays at that time.

oh yeah, i saw tammy! u know tammy the nyp video thingy? she was there taking photos of her friends doing cheerleading performance. everyone was looking at her, even though the performance by the cheerleaders were outstanding. heehehehe

this year the layout of the booths were better, more spacious for the people to move around, they can see the all the CCA booths since its all situated on the sides of the sports hall.

Let Your Hearts Out

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

aku...................

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

nak kena gi kerja ni...

feeling down man.......

its good that everything is ok

but i'm not.

terpaksalah aku dodoikan diri aku

seperti mana mak aku dodoikan aku bila aku sedih.

aku dah 23 tahun. umurnya ajer naik

tapi rasa macam sama.

sendiri fikir sendiri faham lah eh.

oh computerku, kenapa lah kau lembik?

aku nak main game gerek2 pun tak boleh.

makin menggemuk aku...

sekian, dikir NYP rocks...

Horse Racing Game in the Mosque!

i was walking to the mosque for friday prayers. then at one kolong block i saw a few group of lower secondary school malay guys(they wore shorts) lepaking. then at the other end i saw a group of lower secondary school malay girls, some of them laughing so loud (my mum call it ketawa gatal), as if trying to get attention from the group of the malay guys.

then as i pass by a secondary school, i remember the time when i was stil sec 1/sec 2. me and my friends went to al-mikminin mosque which was just about 100 metres away from shuqun sec school. at that time we still wear shorts so we brought kain to school. there were students from Yuhua and err some more i don't know what other schools that came to the same mosque. of cos there were many shuqun students there and these students, including us, made alot of noise. i remembered me and a few friends played this horse racing game using a calculator with the "RANDOM" button and a paper and pen. if we press the "RANDOM" button, it will randomly show a number. so we use that number as the horse's number. on a paper, there's 10 numbers, 0 to 9. so we chose any horse number. when a number is shown on the calculator, we ticked below the horse number. if the horse number got 10 ticks or more first, that horse wins. i was still 14 years old, very childish. what to do.

there's one time the imam warned the students if they make too much noise, they will tell the school to not let the students go for friday prayers. it made me angry that time ah, how can they say that? we all wanted to go but because we are still young, too hyper-active, that's why we make noise. understand understood lah. heheheheeheheh

well those were the days.

Long, In Purpose Cry!

she cried and cried until it annoyed me. but its not like normal cries. its sounds as if she purposely doing it!

it was early morning on sunday. i was dreaming something i can't remember what but it was something pleasant and i'm enjoying it when suddenly i heard cries. long long cries. the cries dragged and dragged till it annoyed me. in the dream i was annoyed so i go to where the cry was and i saw my sister. then i shouted at her to stop it. in the dream i thought she was practicing acting on how to cry. but the cries went on and on until i woke up.

i realised that my sister was on the mattress, covering her face with bedsheet and pillow, crying. since yesterday night she was crying, but it didn't sound like real cries. it sounds like purposely crying and she dragged her cries and its so annoying. its as if she's hoping that her boyfriend would hear her cries. so i scolded her with a low tone to stop crying. and she stopped! she stopped crying! what the hell! i mean if real cries, if you wanna stop, there would be some kind of inertia where you need to calm down first and the cry would become lesser and lesser eventually. but her one, she stopped just like that.

she got a problem with her boyfriend which i don't know what and i don't want to ask cos i don't wanna disturb her. but at the same time i don't want her to be like other girls who would cry and cry for her sayang, night by night, when the guy were happily sound asleep.

english tv shows with english subtitles?

whole day watching tv from 5.30pm all the way to 11.30pm the very best part about yesterday was Gilmore Girls were on channel 5! i followed the story since season 1 where they show it at night. then suddenly the rest of the season they show it on sunday 5pm, which was really stupid shit lah cos these were the times i'll be going out with my family, bodoh!

so i missed quite a number of episodes. so now they changed it to weekdays afternoon. you know when i've watched all the episodes in season 1, i became obsessed on the story and of course i watched all the season 2 episodes. and during school, i would go to E-Learning Plaza and went to its website where they actually includes the scripts and read all of it so that i can understand what they say cos when i'm watching english story, its sometimes to understand they were talking about so its better to have english subtitles on.

Plasma TV at Kopi Tiam

yesterday watching man u and arsenal at a kopi tiam at bukit panjang road. it was one of the best games man. arsenal really can't do anything! man u is and still the best team ever lah.

as usual many people there, we had one table with 2 chairs so me and my bro got that place but it was too far from the tv. the tv is normal size, plasma some more. but its hard to see where the ball were going. then in the middle of the game, a group of young people came and asked if they can use our table since we had nothing, not even drinks. so they thought we're not using the table. but suddenly my bro said , "ok". alamak.... then one of the drink vendor there ask me to sit somewhere in front. so we took our chairs and sit on a table where there's 3 people occupying that place. we just sat there and concentrate on the game, and this time its much nearer.

stupid greenridge shopping centre. last time they got tv showing football matches inside Kopi Tiam. before me and my bro went to the kopi tiam at bt panjang road, we go to greenridge first but the tv was showing RTM 2!!! and its not clear some more. suspect they didn't pay the tv cable bills.

the last time i watch man u and arsenal in an EPL game was during the 2000-2001 season where man u won 6-1. at that time EPL were still being shown on free tv. it was the best game ever man.

Malay Classic Old Songs versus the DJs

had a film shoot yesterday nite at teck whye block 5. my friend's production wanted to make a film about i dunno what, but for this scene is about a group of people stuck in a lift and the area got bombed. i acted as a volunteer worker to save these people. imagine, from 8.30pm till 3.45am of shooting.

my english is really bad lah. one of the lines, i said, "the shopping mall got 3 blocks." check out the phrase. sounds Singlish? yeah, its the 'got'. another one, "block A and B were very badly damaged." sounds weird? that's nervousness.

few of my school mates from shuqun secondary were found. i met herman at CDA, he joined ERS course as a regular and he said that wan itam is one of the trainee too. then i saw this video clip from nazrin, showing a few police officers from his station. one of them was elfi! wah, quite a number of my friends working for the home team as regulars lah. me? nah, i don't wanna sign up. further more i'm overweight. work 'outside' better.

went to school a few days ago, me and the dikir barat group practiced kompang. thanks to one of the member, hairi, he taught the basics of the kompang rythms that i'd never learn of. we had fun practicing all the different types of beats and playing as a team were not as easy as i thought. one person beat the kompang wrongly and the rest can follow suit, ending up creating noises rather than creating artistic beats of the kompang. there's more to learn next lesson, can't wait.

i love Warna 94.2FM because of the malay classics, old songs that are so nice to hear. but i really, really hate them because the djs talk too much(especially during dedications) and they got alot of advertisements(ok this part cannot be helped lah, cos without them, no salary lah for the djs). also they got their own Warna theme song that they played like too much!!! and its so annoying! especially when it reaches the high pitch of the song. oh my God...

From Silat To Malay Arts

thanks to the "french" girl, Sallyfah, for asking about my first appearance in MCG. i wanna talk about my CCA involvements in NYP, from silat to malay arts.

during the orientation for SEG-MIT, i made a friend with Hanisah. i remembered that we had the same interest in drama/theatre.
So during Club Crawl 2001, i was with my indian friend, firman, walking around the atrium, looking at the booths of most of the CCA for sports and martial arts. my friend joined Kendo while i signed up for Rugby, since i've played rugby during my upper secondary school days. at that time i think NYP made a mistake for not advertising properly. i didn't know where the rest of the booths for cultural groups and other clubs and societies. or maybe i was dumbed, i didn't check it out properly.

and then one day, i made a friend. his name was Mustafa. also a friend of my indian friend. so at one time, mustafa called me and asked if i wanna join silat. so i said yes without a second thught. it was actually Nazrin who invited mustafa to join silat. that's how i met Naz. and so it begins my 2 and a half years journey with the nyp silat team. at that year also, i wanted to join muslim society. but they were so called hiding in some cave in NYP, that's why i cannot find them. so i asked one of the muslim lecturer to help me out. he told me, the muslim society cannot be accepted by nyp because its a "malay" organization. they cannot have 2 malay organization (that includes MCG) in nyp. also they have a connection with outside muslim organization which, if i can remember, nyp didn't recognized them. but i still managed to meet the president of muslim society. but after that it became quiet.

by that time i was busy with silat. i enjoyed more on performing silat in functions held in nyp rather than olahraga. that's why i didn't join the IVP silat championship in NUS. one day, MCG held a hari raya show 2001 and silatnyp was invited. i didn't see any drama sketch or sketsa komedi so i thought maybe MCG got no drama club. but i remebered i watched this 2 guys, one of them holding a guitar, the other is a vocalist. they were from Belia Muda. at that time i thought Belia Muda was some kind of an organization to develop leadership skills for young malays in NYP. something like Mendaki.

then in late 2002 or early 2003, i saw this brochure about Pesta Peti Putih. i was surprised to see Hanisah's name in it. she won best actress i think. what's more surprising is that Pesta Peti Putih is a competition for schools performing malay theatres. i was like, "What the ****?!!! NYP got malay drama club?!"

Club Crawl 2003, i was year 3 first semester, i went to MCG booth with Wan(former silatnyp president) . good thing Aida was there so i was not that shy lah to talk to someone there. i asked her, "MCG got no drama?" she said, "yes, Belia Muda." in my heart i was cursing MCG. Double Thumbs Down to MCG. dissappointed. very very bad advertisement. MCG should have explained it properly. the 2001 hari raya show, if only they explained a little bit more about Belia Muda, i would have joined them much2 earlier!!! bodoh betul ah.

so i went to their Belia Muda orientation at a CD shelter at bishan. from there, the seniors, which includes Hanisah, made an audition to choose capable actors and actresses using the puisi script 'Aku Anak melayu', once used for Gema Puisi Artistik 2002. and the chosen ones that i remembered most, heikal, hafiz, rafi, myself, farhana and amalina. and so it begins a new journey in theatre world...

my first appearance with the drama people of MCG was the Hari Raya show in 2003, performing puisi-drama using the script done by Hanisah, Belas Nuraga.

What a journey with MCG. i've been with them for 3 years now. i've tried everything from acting to dancing and last year directing a theatre production involving all the sub groups of MCG. that was i thought would be my last. but now, i'm busy with NS but still involved in small shows playing kompang and hopefully in Club Crawl 2006 i will play awok-awok alongside with the MCG dikir barat boys.

You Mother*****!!!

its been awhile. so far my life has been back to my normal poly days - jamming, lan-gaming, chilling with my old 'band' mates. though we're all serving NS, we still got the time to meet once or twice in 2 to 3 weeks though last time was like almost everyday we chilled and i had a hard time cos dat time i got less money. wanna buy drink also not enough.

so far i got no "special" things that happen in my life. talk about girls, well sometimes i come, they go. sometimes they come, i go. that's normal in life.

since i'm getting the Progress Package by the S'pore Government, i thought i wanna upgrade my PC. in fact maybe get a new CPU. but i had a very hard time to find a good motherboard. i mean all motherboards are good. but the specs are the most important. some support SATA, some not. some had AGP slot, some had PCI-Express slot. some support DDR while the new ones go for DDR 2. ok for some of u who don't understand what i'm talking about, let me explain it in point form.

Serial ATA or Parallel ATA - this thing is for hard disk drive(HDD). so far all computers are using PATA. but i wanna go for SATA cos its more better.

AGP slot and PCI-Express X16 slot - these slot is for your video card. PCI-Express is the best, especially for hardcore gamers.

DDR or DDR 2 - for your RAM. DDR 2 is the newest but more expensive. dats why i'm going for DDR.
