Conmen?

wah, so many work, so little time! suppose to finish work at 6pm but i had to finish up my work cos tomorrow will have more and finally got to finish at 9pm. problem is, got no overtime pay.

what to do, small company. but i'm ok. i'm happy. i got a friend there and i love doing my job. slowly and steadily i'm using more keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop and Corel Draw to have more spped in my work.

went straight to woodlands and somehow my friends was approached by a Batam old woman who's actually got a problem with her handphone. trying to contact one of her relative but she didn't know what's wrong with the handphone. so while my friends were trying to do some settings on the phone, there's this 2 makciks looking at them suspiciously. i guess they thought my friends were trying to con the old woman and steal the handphone.

SingRempitz

got read about Mat Rempit Singapore kena caught for illegal racing at Second Link? mat rempit singapore beb! tak ke kecoh tu? fuyooh! they were mainly work as despatch riders and they're as young as me, 20plus.

oh yes, new fatwa came out by MUIS. something got to do about organ transplant. i remembered my dad said when someone dies, do not let the corpse to be taken to a hospital, cos the corpse will surely be cut open to take any good organs. its not good to have your organs to be taken out, better to be put everything intact in the kubur as sempurna as possible. but as i see it, those organs will be gone to waste. if its still good, it can actually be given someone who really needs it. younger generations of Muslims should understand but the Warga Emas hopefully will understand and realise the importance of organ transplants.

Meletakkan Kepalanya Atas Bahuku [EDITED]

pompuan ni kan, kalau nak berkawan dengan lelaki, they looked like being bitchy and flirtish? (bukan aku cakap, adik pompuan aku yg kata.)

tapi aku, OK Go aje. aku dah terlalu biasa kena tu macam. jadi aku dah tau rentak2nya.

"Observe No Mercy"

What a weekend for me, oh yeah what a weekend. its as if i got my first pay. i enjoyed too much and now i got no money. but no worries. i borrow money, when the pay comes i will pay back , promised.

Do not go to Party World KTV (Paragon). they got tidbits, fruits and even wet tissue. and they are not free. Cash Studio still the best.

Lazy Eyes Can Kill? Kill My Career, Probably...

i think if i keep looking at the monitor too long, my eyes may get into trouble. but what can i do, work after work after work. never finish.

i'm not complaining about plenty of work until i had to stay extra 1 to 2 hours after working hours and if the work's dateline is near, i gotta bring it home to finish. i have to learn to relax my eyes by looking at a far object for about a few minutes after 45 minutes of looking at the monitor. but even that few minutes are too precious to be wasted. aku bukan nak tunjuk action ke nak action rajin ke, tak eh. aku memang betul-betul buat kerja punya.

my specs was misplaced at my home and i had to do my work without it. i don't know if without the specs, will it affect my eyes, especially my left eye with a degree of 400. lazy eyes symptom.

its been a week i've worked as a graphic designer in a T-shirt printing company. so far i got a positive comment, 'fast learner'. but i also did a few mistakes like spelling out someone's name wrong and too bad nasi sudah menjadi bubur when the misspelled name had been printed on the shirt.

Circles In My Flyer

yesterday was my first day of work. congrats to Andayu members graduating in July '07 cos i'm joining you all in our search for our first civilian career. And thank Allah i got a job one day after my ORD even though its part time, i'm happy.

well i arrived on time, got my very own punch card and i'm ready to pounce and what a pounce i got when i had to trace a outline of an image of a dragon. though i wasted alot of time there, i made it. sorry can't put it in here cos its company's property. then i had to draw a Singapore flag.

at 2pm was my lunch break and me with 2 other colleagues went to Toa Payoh Fork & Spoon to feed ourselves. got myself Vegetarian Food, only $3, with no drink. went back after an hour and drank plain water from my bottle brought from home.

then came another project, our company's flyers. this is i think my favourite because i was enthusiastic about it, i even brought it home to finish it. today is the dateline and i really hope my boss will like my flyer. with a theme of circles, i use it to make it some kind of a border and put scattered circles for the background.

ok, time for my 2nd day of work, gotta get ready...

And So We Conquered Woodlands!

finally after 2 tries, the final try i did with my brother has given me the proudness that i have now conquered Woodlands. my brother and i went cycling and i decided with him that we'd go to Woodlands. we did try going there using Woodlands Road but the was quite dangerous as there were many big lorries and many small fragments of rocks. even the foot pavement were not entirely there and they were either cracked by the tree's roots or many big rocks lying around.

so yesterday the road was not busy and we rode on till we saw Sungei Kadut Avenue and decided to go in. it was an industrial area and since it was sunday, the road was clear of moving heavy vehicles. then the road went back to Woodlands Road but instead we saw the Kranji War Memorial! That means we're near to Kranji MRT and that means we're near to Marsiling too!

We went to visit the Kranji War Memorial and what a feeling we had. i felt as if i was meeting these brave men face to face since i only experience it in the war movies and museums. but these are soldiers fighting in Singapore land and shed their blood in this land too. there were many types of regiments and battalions from Royal Australian Imperial to Hong Kong-Singapore Army and Gurkha Rifles, there were so many. more images in my multiply.

and then we head to Marsiling MRT when the rain came and so we had to ride as fast as we could. we were drenched. after the rain stopped we continue our journey to the end of Woodlands, the Causeway. we stopped at the Woodlands Jetty and what a sight, we were viewing the Causeway and Johor at night. We went back home safely, using Woodlands Road, then Sungei Kadut and then cut into Yew Tee and back to Woodlands Road again.

Part Time Pun Jadi Lah

BEFORE . . .AFTER !

i went for an interview just now. work as sort of a graphic designer at a t-shirt printing company. i called the boss and told her i would like to apply for the job when she quickly said, "Ok Ok, come at 1pm and bring your portfolio." thanks to Shahran for recommended me for this job cos he needs an assistant.

i was at home around 10am and was surprised when she said 'portfolio'. i was stunned for a few minutes when i remembered those artworks i've done during my poly days. ok basically i'm not a media design student so i don't have a portfolio. my artworks were those created for CCA purposes: Silat Club NYP logo, Andayu logo, Andayu posters etc. another problem is this is my very first time going for an interview alone. usually if i wanted a job, i'd go with a friend who's also searching for a job. and usually i don't get the job instead my friend got it.

so i just collect all my artworks, put it nicely in MS Word documents and after around 12.30pm i moved out. problem is i had to find a printing shop to print my documents in colour and where will be the best and i am most comfortable with than the printing shop at NYP near Business Building.

took the taxi there and went straight to the shop. while waiting for the prints, i was looking around hopefully i could see someone i know there. after i got the prints, i went to MacD canteen to settle the prints into my plastic file. then i saw Yan Bonch and his girlfriend and i said hello to them. i felt a bit sad and felt kinda sucky when i moving around the polytechnice. my mind was playing some great moments and the worst moments of my poly life simultaneously while moving around.

and off to Yio Chu Kang MRT. cos it was 2pm, i called the boss again to change the time to meet and because she had to go for an appointment, she told me to come at 4.30pm. oh crap... 2 hours and half! since there's a bus to the interview place at Hougang Bus Interchange, i went to Hougang.

Hougang has certainly changed alot! i cannot remember when was the last time i went there but i remembered the shopping centre was dark at that time. now it looks more cleaner and more alive. i felt like i was out of place.

then went to take the bus, got off the wrong bus stop, called my friend for help and i've finally found the place while i'm almost drenched with sweat. i was given the job part time and i will get 5 dollars an hour. monday to friday, 10am to 6pm. gonna start work next monday. i have a few days to try and must master the Photoshop to get myself ready since i'm too used with Fireworks.

No Photos Cos Its a Government Building

I have finished my 3 months vacation leave and now i ORD already. Got my pink IC at Civil Defence Academy (CDA), i shake hands with my friends i've made there and wished them good luck. So now it is time to get a job.

i will remember those who have worked for me and those who have made me sick. after working there for almost 2 years i realised that talking to people working there is important, not just making friends but also getting important information that I need to know from them. because i work as a telephone operator at CDA and my job is supposed to be transfering of calls only, sometimes i may get people asking many2 kinds of questions, and i can't say "I donno" and i have to transfer their calls to the right department for them to get answers for their questions. so i have to be friendly, i have to be very nice to the people working in various departments in CDA and then i can gather information from them as much as possible so that i can easily give enough information to the callers i received.

its quite hard to be a telephone operator. sometimes you get a caller who's very rude and i need to be patient and i have to talk nicely even though i get scolded, sometimes i got a stupid caller and i have to ask simple questions so that the caller know what he really wants from me. and i have to always calm myself down at times when the telephone rings alot of time because the rings can make my heart beats fast, it made me angry. if i'm asleep i can wake up with just one ring even though the volume has been lowered down.

i do not like it when i have to work on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays when my work clash with these days but many people would love to take my position anytime because it looks easy for them, got TV to watch, the room is air conditioned, and we also have beds to sleep at night.

working as a telephone operator is best when there's a partner. of cos the partner must be as good as me. so far out of 3 partners i've worked with, the last one was the one that hurt me alot. i've talked about this guy a few times in my blog so i'm sure you bloggers should know who i'm referring to. my first partner had the same music taste as mine. metal. he loves Slayer while i was listening to Metallica and Iron Maiden. the other one is something like me. can talk about anything from religion to politics and even personal stuffs.

well how about my In-Charge, the captain? i got nothing to talk about him. he don't really care that much about his telephone operators cos he got other important stuff to worry about. but what i know, i've seen her wife before and she's hot.

Last but not least, goodbye NS, goodbye CDA and the people i've known. hopefully i can remember your names when i see you all outside because i have a problem with memorizing people's names. and goodbye CDA Ops Room. i don't like the telephones there so f*** you telephones!!!!

Luqman Sanding Di Lagun Sari, Aku Koyak di Secret Recipe

Congrats to my cousin, Luqman, on his marriage with Ilyana. Nice costumes, pretty sweet kueh2 and alot of saudara-mara! Lagun Sari Restaurant at Joo Chiat Road, though small, but having a persandingan at an air con area is good because bawah kolong block can be very hot sometimes.

after that me and my siblings went jalan2 and my sister decided to go Secret Recipe at Marina Square for dinner. ok firstly i didn't really enjoyed going there because people were like looking at us eating. ok lets talk about food.

my sister said go for the soup noodles because the meal with chicken and rice is not worth it, the chicken is small. and because i want my food worth every penny even though i wanted rice, i went for the Vietnamese Noodle Soup while both of them go for Tom Yum Noodle Soup. my soup, which cost a FREAKING $11.50, taste a little bit like Thaksin Noodle that you can get at Clementi and Seah Im Market (opposite Harbourfront). its like a Mee Soto but with soy sauce and 4 beef meatballs and some chunks of chicken.

Their Tom Yum Noodle, $10.50, taste just like Tom Yum, but with noodles. you can get it everywhere. the noodles came with a big bowl, as big as my head. they had alot of vegetables and many chicken chunks and some mushrooms.

their service was excellent. i accidentally dropped my chopsticks then i put it back on my table when the waitress came with a new chopsticks and handed to me with a smile. So nice of her. well, I'm not going there anymore.

The Star

Which Tarot Card Are You?

You are the Star card. The Star is the light of hope. Shining in the night, sending light into darkness, the stars provide direction to sailors and are a field on which to dream.
Humanity used to look up at the sky and desire to be there, to find out what it all meant, and now we have been a distance into space and have elementary ideas of the makeup of all the different stars. This kind of achievement adds further fuel to our hopes.
The eternal, slow-moving stars that will be long shining past the end of our own existence provide hope of immortality, and the vast space they suggest and the very mystery they hold provide us with excitement and knowledge yet to be discovered.

Truth Hurts

are younger malays now more daring? just heard about the 2 young malays accused of murder. the woman is only 24, same age as mine, and the guy is 16. ok maybe this is only one case i've heard involving younger anak-anak watan and maybe there's more. are malays, working in night clubs, bad people? the victim worked as a DJ in a night club, got into prison for AWOL during NS and the 2 accused of murder both worked in a night club too.

i feel sorry for Mr LKY. everytime he say something that involved our neigbouring country, M'sia, their ministers will say back, disagreed with his say. no matter what, i will still support him, because i know, his words are true. and the truth hurts, that's why.

Nenek Kau Ella. Datuk Kau Davis.

"umbrella... ella... ella... eh... eh... ella KAU PEH NENEK!
i don't like the umbrella song by Rihanna. i scolded my sister telling her to shut up when she sang the irritating "ella ella eh eh" part. even my cousin whose still in early primary knew that "ella" part. at that time, i was really furious, seriously.

what kind of stupid song is she trying to do?!!!

enough with the umbrella. i went for the Swee Lee Music Instruments Sale, it said 50 percent off. went there and saw many people lining up. only about 10 can go into the shop at a time every 15 to 20 minutes interval so we actually lined up for almost i hour and a half.
it was sad to see that most of the guitars they're selling were around $1500 plus plus but with 50 percent discount it goes as low as $700. still that's a lot of money there. What a sale.

after that i picked up my bass guitar at Davis located at Peninsular Plaza, level basement (note that its in bold), with the help of Man the man and after i test it, i decided to buy a bass amp too, $85 J. Suzuki, the same size as your school bag. looks nice, sounds nice too... but must be the quality of my bass guitar that made it sound so beautiful and bassie. Thank God the repair of the guitar cost $10 when i thought its gonna be $500, ok ok too exaggerating, maybe $200 like that. the problem is that they didn't give me any free gift like maybe a pick or two. that's not really nice man. i spend $103 at their shop and i didn't get any free stuffs!

not just that, during the repairing period, they should call me to tell me about the cost of the repair's gonna be before its being repaired 4 days after i gave my guitar. but after around 3 weeks i called them and after they realised its not being checked they said they gonna call me back later. after a month i called them again, this time it was good news, they said my bass guitar is ready for collection. Davis, you should have call me about the cost and you should have call me after the guitar has been repaired! instead i had to call YOU! twice! Well bad news for you, Davis. i've said bad things about your shop in my blog already. so how?
