BABI tulisan dari Wak Killa

hujan turun bawa angin
menggigil kesejukan
tak tahan rasa dingin
ku baring keletihan
mulanya fikiran terbang
teringatkan masa silam... sudahlah. masa silam... mePek aje.

masa sekarang dan akan datang
akan selalu ingat mengingati
mungkin akan datang bukan sekarang
ku kecapi keinginan diri

BA ALIF BA YA

ba alif ba ya... babi
makan tak terhenti
naik sekilo lagi
ku tak sampai hati
tengok dia mati
kerna makan macam babi
ba alif ba ya... babi

Don't Sleep On Saturday

i didn't expect my saturday to be staying at home all the way till sunday morning. cos saturday is a weekend and weekends are the day you have fun, most probably outside the house.

but that doesn't mean you can't have fun at home on a saturday.

Watching TV. seriously there are no good shows to watch on a saturday especially if you only got free channels on your tv. but hey, i got the chance to watch some of the episodes i missed on PrisonBreak Season 2 DVD.

Internet. hell yeah. i read my friends' blogs. cos its the only place i know how they are doing. except Marni. don't know what happen to her right now. couldn't go in to her blog cos its only for invited guests. if you read this my old friend, invite me to your blog... or else! I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!

Games. i wanted to have a really nice car and hope that i could drive a car. but only in Need For Speed can i do those things.

Sleep. not advisable. i slept, from early afternoon to evening, and i regret for doing that...Waste alot of my weekend time. catching up my weekdays sleep i guess.

Welcome To The 60s!

after work finished at around 8.30pm me and my colleague head to Marina Square to catch a movie. and what a movie it was! throughout the movie, i was smiling only. it was a happy ending movie, the music are great mostly broadway kind and the 60s dance moves are absolutely more fun to watch then the hip hop dance shit.

Go watch Hairspray. its about a fat girl who loves dancing and wanted to show people that doesn't mean she's fat, she's different than others cos its not. it may not be as good as Grease but at least the movie can ease your stress after work. you will be like happy and smiling after watching it. And its in the 60s! who doesn't love the 60s!

First Time Naik Beca

wat a weekend last week. i went to Malacca, Malaysia, with my working colleagues, 5 of us, all sponsored by our boss.

a coach ride from beach road to Malacca was a first time for me as i don't take coach to Malaysia via beach road, basically booking tickets at Golden Mile. mostly me and my family book tickets to KL or Malacca from Larkin, Johor or the tepi jalanan coach companies opposite KTM JB Station which is more cheaper.

basically i sat with my buddy, Shah, my head of department, and along the way, we played poker cards. but then somehow my boss wanted us to play the guitar cos we both brought guitars and so we brought up one of our guitar and play some old songs like 'temple of the king' and 'hotel california' and some malay songs played by me like 'kau ilhamku' and my own song, 'sepintas kasih secebis harapan.'

after we reached to our hotel, Hotel Equatorial, we checked in and had lunch at this peranakan restaurant in the hotel and i had my first taste of buah keluak.

then we go jalan-jalan around the historic area like the A'Famosa and the istana cum museum. we head back to our hotel by riding on a Beca for RM10 per Beca. it was my very first time sitting on a Beca and got to watch the sceneries around the historic melaka town.

we head for a swim at the hotel's poolside and after that we were supposed to go for aromatherapy spa and massage, (that would be the first time, tapi sayang...) but there was a miscommunication on the bookings and we were not booked for the spa and massage session, so we head for dinner at the Melaka Rest House at the lobby of the hotel.

it was Italian feast for that night and what a feast! for the first time, i tried oyster, you know the oyster Mr Bean ate in one of its episode? ok lah whatever it is, i always see these Mat Saleh ate those raw oysters in the movies, so i was curious and i tried one. it taste like Kerang but raw. not really nice.

then came the karaoke session. we head outside and went into this karaoke lounge. it look kinda freaky cos there were a few really sexy and pretty hostess outside that reminded me of Geylang.

as usual, the 3 chinese colleagues go for cantonese and hokkien songs while me and Shah go for malay duets. mostly i sang the woman part while he went for the guy part cos i can go for high voice and his low voice were excellent. i became Siti Nurhaliza, Noraniza Idris, Siti Sarah while he became 2by2, Ezad Exists and Jamal Abdillah. oh and my chinese colleagues loved Dikir Puteri by Noraniza Idris, sang by me of course. Heheheh!

the next day we had little time to spend and had a very fast shopping at Mahkota Parade. thought of buying some clothes for work but the prices were mostly 3 digits. might as well go John Little man, much cheaper. so i just bought 2 CDs, Uji Rashid's Song Collections and a compilation of malay songs of the 60s.

it was a great trip. i learnt many things about my colleagues, we talked about life, we talked about having family, marriages, also about the company, SingPrint... and i also had a few first times there. i enjoy it very much. hopefully, there will be more trips like this again.

Immigration & Checkpoint Authority's Interview Room

wah mati woo... the boss told me to i had to do OT but by 8pm must go home. cannot more than that. it sounded like as if i would love to work OT till 9pm. that's wrong man.

i might as well come to work more early. instead of 9am, i will come at 8am. hmm... yeah.

so far this week and last week are the most fastest week ever in my life. for last week its the National Day that shortens the weekday time. This week, its the journey to ICA Building that shortens this weekday and almost shortens my life.

i was afraid to tell my boss that my passport has expired and she had bought the tickets to Malacca already. at work, she didn't look pissed but i knew she's keeping it. and so she asked my admin staff to help me out. so my admin staff called ICA and realised that i can get a temporary pass. so the staff gave me the original receipt of the tickets to Malacca and a letter to me and asked me to go to ICA Building to settle the problem, myself.

so i went to ICA, the journey was one of the worst. my heart was beating fast, i was scared. Don't know what to say.

Reach there, i went to the counter at level 2 (Citizen's Service Centre)and asked about my problem and the counter staff gave me a number to meet an officer in an Interview Room. Wah... scared woo...

so my number was called and i went in. the officer was a quite an old woman, asking me whats the problem. so i said i had to go to Malacca for a business trip on Saturday but my passport has expired. then she said, "ok, i'll give you a temporary pass, a one time trip to malaysia." it cost $15. and i didn't have to show her my reciept, letter, and i didn't have to answer many questions cos she only asked around 2 simple questions like that. i'm so relieved.

anyway, i will be going to Malacca on Saturday to Sunday. sort of a business trip and holiday with my colleagues.

Beautiful Sight of Telok Belangah at Mt Faber

10 August 2007, Friday to 11 August 2007, Saturday

didn't expect we would go cycling to town. Zaim, my cousin asked me and my bro to go cycling to town area, of course we could not refuse. Depart at 2230hrs and ended around 0500am the next day.

since i'm a working man, i belanja them satay and mcdonalds.

Zaim was wearing a helmet and had a red light on his back of the bike so he rode behind us. i lead the cycling team of 3 due to my lack of speed. Gua badan berat beb...

from Orchard Road to Bukit Panjang Road took us 1 hour and 15 minutes via Stevens Road and then Bukit Timah Road (opposite Dunearn Road)! its like taking 190 to town stuck in a traffic jam at PIE. that fast ah!

I Love the Sound of the Artillery Guns

national day, all my family from my mum's side came to my house with their potluck and we had nasi ambeng. each family with different kinds of lauk-pauk for nasi ambeng. then we watched the national day parade on tv.

while watching, as usual surely we have a few comments came from the veterans. one of my uncle had to march from nicole highway all the way to the Padang. one of my auntie was in NCC and she was part of the parade last time. ironically, 3/4 of her children were in NCC.

oh yeah, this part is unforgettable. my uncle said we have to be proud that at least the national anthem and the military commands were all in malay. this also showed the roots of Singapore, that means where exactly Singapore was born.

the Parade Ceremony is the only thing that i love the most in National Day Parade cos it gives me this feeling of nervousness and ... entah aku pun tak tau nak explain. it felt so nice lah like that when hearing the commands, to see the barisan of different contingents, the sound of artillery and gunshots and the marching.

I Played Trooper's Solo With Ease

Alamak... sayang ah, i didn't go to the Baybeats on friday and saturday at the Esplanade. sunday i went out with my family to eat when after that my parents wanted to go home. but me and my brother didn't wanna go home early.

so we went to Suntec City to check out the World Cyber Games Asian Championship. when we were there, somehow the competition was over, but there they got many games free to play. so we tried Guitar Hero! Wah syiok man that game, its like playing a guitar but easier. i played Free Bird, The Trooper and the Guns n Roses song i can't remember the title. and yes! i played the solos of these 3 songs man!

after we were asked to stop playing because the championship was over and they wanted to clean up, we decided to check out Baybeats at Esplanade. so far its been quite a long time since i went for a gig and what a gig it was yesterday!

two stages. back to back music of all genres. great bands. great music, and most importantly, great crowd man, especially when most of them were young people (energetic and stupid). moshing and falling and carrying people, wow, absolutely great lah. my brother wanted to join the mosh so i carried his bag for him. but only for about a minute, he came back, with swollen feet and dirts around his feet and his slippers. it was too aggresive he said.

Got Money, Eat Better Food

what a week for me. got scolded, too much work, finish work late and came to work late. after the end of the work day, Friday, i went to NYP to watch Layar Andayu 07. it was fun to see some people i haven't seen for quite a while. that means i miss my friends. oh also, i got an Andayu T-shirt for this year because last year i was given a shirt too small. now they got the size right. thank you so much. and you actually kept your promise that you gonna get me a new shirt. that's good man. its difficult to find people that keeps promises nowadays.

then went to Jalan Kayu and i had a great meal of Westernized food, fish and chips for just 7 dollars and a hot brownie with a vanilla ice-cream topping for 4 dollars! it was the best dessert i have ever tried. anyway the shop is some kind of an Australian Western Cafe, i think the name was Mad Jack? and its Halal some more.

oh yeah before i forget, i wanna say that Delifrance baked rice is one of the best meal i ate there. there's a melted cheese toppings. below the toppings you have rice with curry. Fooyoh! its like Nasi Pattaya but its cheese really made the baked rice look cool and it also taste great. definitely a good place to go dating too cos the place is cosy and not too many people. its at Toa Payoh town area.
