A Summary: Jalan Raya 2007

i suspect jalan raya semua dah habis pun. last sunday went out with the budak2 silat nyp. tak semua yg hadir sayangnya. rumah tak banyak pergi. tiga orang takde transport sendiri sebab tak dapat sewa kereta so had to ride with a taxi. but i think its cheaper than getting a kereta sewa.

saturday kawan lama dari NS datang dari johor. datang sorang ke rumah aku. berbual pasal lagu2 rock.

monday, kawan2 band datang rumah. lepak-melepak. nasib dapat tengok kawan2 adik aku sebelum balik.

hari raya this year, 2007, well... even though feels the same but every year its always different. this year is my first to give duit raya to adik2 saudara. and one child who got no family ties whatsoever. kira anak orang.
but i know most will say raya tahun ni tetap sama. those are, i suspect emo. why emo? dunno why.

for jalan raya with the almunis and going-to-be-almunis of MCG, the only same thing is we went with cars. difference is, the lineups. even though muka sama jugak yg aku nampak seperti rafi dan heikal, ada orang baru, dan orang yg sepatutnya nampak, tak datang. sebab tak boleh. macam drama swasta lah MCG ni.

jalan raya with the band members at least gerek jugak. sebab rumah2 dorang tak pernah dikunjungi. dan kita berempat saja. best.

jalan raya with budak2 lama silat ada lain sikit. dorang bawak motor. kita pulak takde kereta. tapi the lineups quite the same as last year. ada jugak orang baru.

jalan raya dengan family. ini ada masalah sikit. sebab kena naik bus, mrt, lrt... boring. takpe, nanti abang gi ambik lesen kereta k? abang dah ada duit.

-whatever it is, jalan raya tak boleh emo, kalau emo, tak boleh ikut.

-kalau nak jalan raya, perangai pun nak kena jaga jugak. lagi2 bila kat rumah orang, percakapan kita nak kena tapis sikit, kata2 seperti 'siak' dan 'sial' dan yg paling dahsyat 'kimek'... ni semua nak kena off dulu kalau ada orang tua dlm rumah.

-dan lagi satu, buat kelakar. kadang2 buat kelakar boleh meriahkan suasana. tapi masalahnya ada orang kadang2 tu tak sedar, boleh ter'over' buat kelakar hingga menyebabkan orang lain sakit hati. macam nenek aku cakap, "dah suka sangat". kira macam perangai terlebih kerana happy sangat.

ok, kalau this saturday ada orang masih berjalan raya, korang memang tak tau malu. jadi jangan naik public transport. tapi kalau jalan raya dgn family, takpe. orang faham.

The Whites Stepped on my Toes

went to megadeth concert. when i was there, i was asking myself, why didn't i went to Slipknot and slayer concert... its all because of NS pay.

anyway, they are great. i was headbanging and the whites kept pushing and stomping their feet on my toes. there's 2 girls joining the mosh, and somehow they looked like they're strong despite getting shoved and pushed around so hard by the other guys. in fact they pushed them back! tak tau malu punya pompuan.

Name Card aku DiConteng

aku gi jalan raya with the budak2 lama MCG that saturday. memang gerek, banyak kecoh banyak ketawa. cuma satu part aje aku tak suka. untuk heikal dan rafi, jangan kacau hal kerja aku. jangan nak buat lawak dengan membabitkan hal2 kerja aku . aku cukup marah bila korang memandai2 conteng kat name card aku. itu name card dari titik peluh aku. bukan buat contengan. kau nak buat kelakar dgn aku, nak pekik2 dlm lif kat telinga aku, nak panggil aku Don King, apa2 pun aku tak kisah. aku ok go punya. tapi jangan babitkan kerja aku. ok.

but anyway, aku enjoy. tak mungkin tak enjoy kan. long time never si marni, she look so thin.
the part heikal asyik berbual dia sorang, dia single, well, tu part boring ah. lu gi enjoy with your birthday. and watsup with u throwing away your "OLD" mp3 player?
tapi part Zai keluarkan baju raya warna merah yg sepatutnya di pakai, dia tunjukkan kat kitorang, wah tu part touching. walaupun bajunya macam baju dikir, tapi tetap touching. i feel you, man.

aku tak sangka roti telur sedap dimakan waktu raya! rumah heikal dan rumah zai ada roti telur. laku gila beb! pisang pun boleh laku!

udang sambal kat rumah sedap. masalahnya, aku tak dapat udangnya, instead aku ambik belen-belen sambal. takpelah, sedap sangat agaknya.

next jalan raya dgn budak2 silatnyp yg lama2. tapi ni kali takde van, pakai public transport. gerenti gerek. mana kan tak, public transport ah yg boleh nampak bermacam2 orang.

pekerja keras

kata2 yg bernas dan "mendalam" dari boss aku.

terlalu byk sales patutnya bagus. tapi production punya side yg tak dapat catch up. sebab tu dorang kena balik lambat. aku dan aku peh manager, kerana ingin ambil hati dorang untuk terus overtime, kita pun stay back sambil habiskan kerja2 belen yg kita ada. dah kul 10pm boss call. dapat tau kita masih kat tempat kerja, jadi dia patah balik untuk bawak kita balik. instead dia berbual2, memberi perangsang, memberi komentar dan sebagainya,habis kul 11pm. bukan nak action aku ni pekerja yg hardworking, tapi aku sayang dengan company ni dan aku ada kawan rapat jugak. jadi tak kisah lah kena balik lambat.

esok jalan raya yah!
dah lama tak pakai baju kurung baru aku ni!

Well Behaved Small Satans

apabila dah terlampau ramai orang datang mengunjungi rumah aku, resah gelisah dibuatnya si nenek aku. "nasib baik korang ada tau, kalau tidak nenek pun tak tau nak buat apa."

second day raya, 6 families out of 14 from my father's side came. one came early while the other 5 came almost at the same time. some of the families were small in numbers, others were too much with too many small children. good thing they were very good, most of them were watching the television and did not touch anything while my dad and my mum were busy melayan tetamu, me and my siblings including my nenek were in the kitchen, filling up the drinks in the jug, bringing out the foods and other banquet works. dah macam restaurant mahal dibuatnya dan kita dah macam waiters.

i decided not to turn on Suria because i think comedy movies are good for children and the adults. cos somehow it kinda works for the children. it was a surprise to see the small children were well behaved. so far only one of my makcik ask me why not turn on Suria cos got many good shows. i said, "Oh? Eh? OK...."

Habis Satu Mangkuk Orang Cina Bedal!

selamat hari raya! dah raya kedua. esok dah raya ketiga. kena kerja pulak tu. tapi takpe. yang penting pergi kerja mesti mau happy.

talk about happy, i went with my colleagues to my manager's house and my house since only both of us celebrate hari raya. i was surprised to see them eating. they love Rendang, Ayam Masak Merah and Udang Sambal! fuyooh! tak sangka orang cina ni suka masakan melayu kita yer.

at my manager's house, the Udang Sambal dorang bedal sampai habis. At my house, their plates were full of red chicken bones! fuyooh! it was very interesting to see people from other races enjoying our delicious malay food. inilah kali pertama aku rasa semangat keSingapuraan di rumah aku sendiri. memang best!

what a great hari raya for me this year. thanks to all my colleagues who came to my house to celebrate with us.

Ronald McDonald The Movie

resident evil: extinction is a roller coaster ride kinda movie. banyak kali buat aku terperanjat. the sound effects are loud and surprising. and the girl got super powers! weird... a great movie to watch for this month.

while going home, me and my colleague were discussing about movies with super heroes in it, movies that based in arcade games. then he gave an idea, what if there were to have a movie based on Ronald McDonald. maybe the story will be about Ronald searching his other friends like MacBurglar, the bird, the purple monster and others, round them up so they can go for some kind of mission.


then i said, it won't work. Cos Ronald is a clown.
most clowns that i knew of, in the movies, were either murderers, rapists and crazy people. even Slipknot had a clown. and he looks scary.

$7K Package.

what a night on monday with Fish n Chips at Breeks! and a cup coffee at Starbucks with my old friends from MIT students of 2001. one of them is getting married. some of the guys asked them about the price. he said the majlis perkahwinan package, which includes the camp, catering and other stuffs that i don't know of, costing around $7K.

the guys discussed about the market for marriage dowry is $8K. not too bad lah. instead of $10K like what people always say. Lelaki melayu singapura zaman sekarang boleh ke bagi $10K?. belum masuk harga majlis kawin. mepek aje...
