More Manpower, More Sales

kalau dalam sesebuah company ingin mengambil orang untuk bekerja,
dia kena standby lagi $1000 atau lebih.
makin ramai orang, makin banyak dia kena bayar gaji.
more people, less work,
less people, more work.

but

more people, less work, more sales can come in. more money generate.
less people, more work, cannot fill in too much sales. less money generate.

No Licence, No Drive

finally i got the chance to feel the clutch, the brake and the accelerator; illegally though. and what a moment when after my friend took over the car and thaught me how to drive by driving around a deserted carpark slowly for a few rounds when 2 cops on fat bikes came to us.
one of the malay cop a little fat, straight away asked for my friend's driving licence. as usual, the procedure of asking for IC, checking the plate numbers and the boot of the car took place.

while they were doing the checking of IC using the MATRA set (which also acts as their walkie talkie) the fat cop told us, "relax ah, no need to panic."
those phrase has some kind of effect on my emotion and my thinking somehow, not much. maybe he learnt those phrase in the police academy?

it was a close shave. if i would have been on the driver's seat, i'll have to fork out thousands of dollars and my friend will not just got his driving licence hanged, he'll hang me too.

A little Update in July '08

ok i guess since there's not much topic to talk about, maybe i'll just update about my life.

so far work is good. no more cockups and mistakes, though mistakes still happen but much much less. well i believe i get the hang of my work already.
my sis graduated from the local uni finally. she's stuck with NIE, now doing temporary teaching at a secondary school in bt panjang.
my bro still busy with music, video making, motor learning and Dota, which he thinks that playing Dota can get bored easily, so we can't play too much.

my sis told me about one of her experience during teaching. she shouted in front of the class for the first time. well yeah, the kids were stunned and the whole class went quiet. but after a while they started to get noisy again. she told me that teachers must shout cos thats the only way for the class to be attentive to the teachers. good thing my sis can really shout when she's angry. cos she always did that with my grandma.

at work, sometimes after work, i will stay back and play around with the TJet Blazer Express, the printer that prints on tshirts. so i play around with a number of designs in the internet and just print it to some shirts that's unused.
oh you know what, even though i'm a graphic designer (artist hehe) i also do admin stuffs like faxing, purchasing orders, filling in the work order forms, filing, scanning etc. then i realise that i waste alot of my time doing those stuffs that i do not have time to do my art works. no wonder i'm slow. but at least i've solved the problem a bit by being systematic. i realise the office is not really that systematic enough, so i made my own style, so that it'll be easy to remember what to do first and what to do last. example, before i want to do an artwork, i'll make sure that i ask for the shirt sizes so that i can order the shirts first. after that, i'll take the work order and fill in all the necessary stuffs like how many colours the design will be using, the type of shirts, the customer's email and contacts. after that, then i'll sit down on my computer, get ready with my tea, cos i'll be in the computer at least an hour or 2, sometimes 3, to do the artwork. after i'm done, i'll send the artwork via jpeg to the customer's email and just wait for their approval to start the printing.

i made contact with someone i know. she's a friend of mine, used to be more than friends. she's still the same as last time, but more matured. i like her talking about investment and money growing stuffs. and she likes stock market but do not have money in them. hope we can go out more cos i would like to know her more, unlike last time, where i was too busy with my malay culture stuffs during school days that i don't care about her. i was a naughty boy, but that was last time.

congrats to indra nila kirana (my most favourite subgroup in andayu) for winning the fiestari 08! weird is, i never heard of it during my time in andayu, until now! long time never read berita harian ah, thats why.

oh, today marks one year of service with Singprint. may the boss bless me with higher salary! ole!

ok selamat.

Exhibition Experience at KL

last week, me and the company went to KL for the malaysia gifts and premiums exhibition where we exhibit the TJet Blazer Express, a machine that prints on garments using inkjet printing, using the Epson printers technology.

so far the whole 3 days of the exhibition, there were many people gathering around our small booth, especially during our demo of the machine.

what i like about the machine is that its much2 better and easier than printing transfer paper. in fact it saves time rather than silkscreen printing.

and its very easy to use.

the cons is you gotta always do regular maintenance.

we also have a japanese colleague whose helping us with the shirt supplies. she's sweet. i like the way she sing japanese song during our karaoke session late night at KL. hehehe

oh you all know tamagotchi? the virtual pet like a pager that you can keep in the pocket? tamago is egg in japanese. then i ask her, "what is chi means?"

she said there's no meaning, just an add on to make it sound cute. hahah!

cute lah dia.
